UcDean is a Netherlands based, independent non-profit travel group that aims at acquainting students and young professionals (aged 16-35) with the new and future EU member-states in Central and Eastern Europe. We happily cater for English language customers, whether they study or work in The Netherlands or abroad. Presently, we have offices in The Netherlands (Utrecht) and the United Kingdom (London). Our trips depart from either of these countries.
UcDean is the largest independent non-profit travel initiative in The Netherlands. The organization evolved out of a travel group of University College Utrecht, which was established by Hans Hindriks in the fall of 2007. UcDean develops innovative and creative travel concepts that offer a unique travel experience for the lowest possible price. Apart from the annual “Saboteur” trip – a competitive 11-day travel adventure involving 50 psychological and physical challenges in a breathtaking journey across the continent -, UcDean has specialized in comprehensive 7-day explorations of various destinations in Central and Eastern Europe. UcDean’s trips always come with full-time dedicated guides, unique study visits to political institutions, NGOs and local businesses and innovative optional evening activities, offering a complete introduction to the history and contemporary societal challenges in relatively unknown parts of Europe. We aim at offering our trips for the lowest possible, unbeatable, all-in price, from €/£ 299 onwards.
You can either sign up for one of our standard English language trips, of which there is at least one annually, or create your own dream-trip with us. We are very happy to organize a trip on demand for your small group (4-20 people) to any of our countries of expertise: Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
