The surprising sensation of Academic Year 2007/2008, Dean’s Wie is de Mol, comes back in 2009, even more spectacular than last year’s three-day-event. From May 16, 2009 until May 25, 2009 Dean’s Wie is de Mol 2009, Gevecht in de Grensstreek (Battle in the Borderlands) will break all mental, physical, geographical and historical boundaries in UCU’s 10-year-history. During an intense 10-day-programme, packed with 30 new, breathtaking, original, and challenging games and activities, 15 selected participants will battle, in the borderlands of five different countries, for a total prize of € 3000. However, one mole – secretely chosen by a selection committee – will seek to sabotage the games, and get the moneybox as empty as possible. The question for all 14 candidates: Who is the Mole?
Dean’s Wie is de Mol: gevecht in de grensstreek will be organised from Saturday May 16 until Monday May 25, 2009. The start is right after the spring semester ends, the spectacular final will be on the day that the summer courses start. All students can therefore participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Also students who applied for the 2008-edition of Dean’s Wie is de Mol, and even students who were ultimately selected to partake in last year’s Strijd Der Elementen, can once again apply. Just as last year, Dean’s Wie is de Mol is also open for application from students of other universities, as well as for non-students. Applicants should however be between 18 and 25 years old. Participants who are 16 or 17 will need written consent of their parents. All participants are subject to Dean’s Compulsory Travel & Health Insurance Programme, or should successfully apply for a waiver. Information about this and other prerequisites will follow during the application process.
Applications will be accepted from late January 2009 onwards. The selection procedure will run until March 2009. Keep checking this webpage for all necessary information.
